Well you made that clear…
Each month we run a new poll on our website which allows you to have your say on the latest golfing topics. As you can see in the image here, last month's poll saw an overwhelming majority of you ( 74% ) vote against the use of video evidence in golf. Recently the R&A issued a new Decision on the Rules of Golf to limit the use of video evidence in the game after Lexi Thompson was penalised four strokes in a ladies major after a TV viewer contacted the LPGA to inform them there had been an infringement the previous day. This move by the R&A has been welcomed with open arms by many people, including tour players and pundits both sides of the pond.
For June we are asking you to vote on one of golf's longest standing question: what is the best men's golf major? The early running indicates it's between the Masters and The Open, but click on the link below to cast your vote.

Dunbar Civic Week Parade and Fun Day
Dunbar Civic Week begins on Saturday, 17 June. There is a parade from Bleachingfield community centre to Lauderdale Park. This begins at 12noon and finishes at 1pm at the park for the official opening and crowning of the Gala Queen. If you have children who are involved with the junior section that would like to take part in this please let Diane Sheffield know, contact details available from the pro shop.
On Friday, 23 June the Club will be holding a Fun Day in line with Dunbar Civic. This will take place from 3-5pm and will include a putting competition, Target golf, chip and putt and also a Bring and Buy and cake stall. We invite all members to bring their families along to join the fun and to enjoy the day including the BBQ that Julie and Kevin will be providing. Any donations to the Bring and Buy stall can be handed to the pro shop in advance (not the cakes!) or brought on the day.
If any members have spare putters gathering dust in your garage could you please lend them to us for the day. These will be returned after the event.
Golfers, please be aware that non golfers will be around the Clubhouse, 18th green and the practice areas during this time. There will be volunteers to marshal them; however the odd one may stray.

Complete Equipment Solution
We want to make buying new equipment from us an enjoyable process, one which leads to you playing better golf in the long run. This is why we've teamed up with PING & Titleist to offer you the Complete Equipment Solution throughout April to June.
How does a FREE custom fitting and FREE lesson sound?
It's so important for golfers of all abilities - particularly amateurs, who have far more to gain - to get custom fitted, as opposed to leaving it to chance, like you'd be doing if you bought standard spec clubs straight off the shelf.
You really have nothing to lose. We will help you to get the most out of any new equipment through a thorough custom fitting process before you buy, followed by a lesson to see you on your way.
Come and speak to us in-store if you're interested, but remember this offer is only available until the end of June.
